Postojna Cave Slovenia | Travel Diary

Happy Saturday,

Hello beautiful people and welcome back to my blog. This Saturday I wanted to share with you my travel diary from one of the most incredible places I checked out from my bucket list. With its 24,340 m long karst cave system and 115 m depth Postojna Cave is one of the most touristic places in Slovenia.  It is also the biggest cave in Slovenia and the oldest touristic cave in the world.

The experience to get into the caves by a small train going about 3 km inside the mountain is the first big impression. Along the train ride inside the cave you get an idea of the magnificence and the enormity of the space. Fantastic natural phenomenon that water built in a billion years beneath the surface of the Earth!

Quick tip – Inside the cave is super cold so make sure to bundle yourself in warm clothes 🙂 🙂 🙂  slovenia_postojnapostojna_jama_sloveniapostojna_jamapostojna_cave_photophoto_postojna_sloveniapostojana_cave_sloveniajama_sloveniainside_postojna_cavecave_postojna_jamaThe photos are not doing its proper justice so I definitely recommend this place as a must see while visiting Slovenia. entrance_postojna_cave_sloveniaHave you heard about Postijna Cave? What are your thoughts about this place??? Let me know in the comments below…

Till next time…

Happy Traveling…

This cave is absolutely incredible! I visited a cave a couple of days ago here in Devon (UK) and it seemed big at the time, but this place in comparison is HUGE. Wow!! x
