I’m so glad that I’m finally incorporating a new category on my blog – beauty and skincare. Make up, skincare reviews & routines, makeup tutorials have been my obsession lately and my Youtube history can confirm that :). Therefor I’ve been trying some of the products that were recommended by the beauty and skincare gurus and that really changed the game. I’m not the best on reviewing products especially as this is my first time on the blog so bare with and hope you gonna like it. And want is good for my skin it doesn’t mean will be good/bad for your skin. This is my preference and what suits my skin the best. I have oily skin especially in the T-zone, big pores in the cheeks area, acne -prone, hyperpigmentation, and many other imperfections. What I did is I stick to a 4 steps routine which made wanders for my skin.
I’m positive you’ve all heard of The Ordinary, a brand that offers so many good products with amazing ingredients, and the most important thing they are super budget friendly. There is one downside on this brand and that’s the names of the products. If you plan to get one you need to do a good research because you’ll never know what to buy based on their names.
At the time when I ordered my first serum or skincare treatment as they name them I was eyeing the The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 but it was out of stock and I got the The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics. But I got the Hyaluronic Acid as well 🙂
I’m in the early 30s and as any girl/ women out there I want to prevent my skin from aging. Even though I have an oily skin I definitely need hydration and that is one of the benefits that Hyaluronic Acid has. When I started using these two serums I noticed that I got less breakouts and my skin got that natural glow. Given the results I could not resist ordering 3 more The Ordinary products and they are on their way 🙂 However you can mix only 3 different Ordinary products in one routine. Definitely give them a try.
As a person with oily skin I always thought I don’t need moisturizer, but I was completely wrong. What I was missing was a good moisturizer that suits my skin and don’t make me oily, and at the same time is giving me that necessary hydration. I don’t remember by who it was recommend to me (it was one of the beauty gurus 🙂 for sure) but I’m so grateful for the changes that were made on my skin. I’m talking about Origins Original Skin™ Matte Moisture Perfector and as the name of the products says it is a light wight matte moisturize. This is high end product, it is on the pricier side, and my suggestion with more expensive products is to get a smaller or travel size packages when trying them, so you don’t splurge for products that maybe don’t suits you. First I got a 30 ml package but I’m on my second one which is 50 ml so I guess this is the perfect product for me :).
Last but not least is the product I enjoy the most wearing it because its scent is giving me that calming feeling that I need at the end of the day. Having an oily skin means that your skin is dehydrated (which sounds surprising right 🙂 and can be treated with oils as well. But you need to use the oils in your evening routine. I use NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil which is a dry oil and you don’t feel greasy at all when you have it on the skin. It is multi-functional because other the face can be used for the body and hair. It has honey based sent it that is what got me on this product. As well on the pricier side but totally worth it because I got the 100 ml bottle and has last me over an year. Definitely if you want to add a luxury step into your routine get this product.
Let me know what are your favorites, must haves I maybe need to try more products that can perform even better on my skin.
Till next time…
